This and that

Now you can listen to a fine song by The Great Northwest called 'Chief John' and 'Love is Noise' by The Verve. Plus, we want to introduce you to James Summerfield from Birmingham, UK. James plays folk/country/alternative music and often sounds like he could be staying in some Appalachian cabin. His third album, 'Count To 10 And Start Again', will be released in August.

Dingalingaling...

We introduce four new and popular songs by bands already posted on this site plus a song by MGMT, because it's new album is fantastic!

Tilly And The Wall - Pot Kettle Black
 Shearwater - Leviathan, Bound
Fleet Foxes - He Doesn't Know Why
 MGMT - Time To Pretend

For Your Consideration! On June 28th Sigur Rós and Björk will be holding a large outdoor concert in Reykjavík (in one of the most beautiful park in the city). The reason - environmental issues. Visit Iceland! ... btw. it's not as cold as you might think it is.

Vanilla Swingers

Vanilla Swingers is a band from UK, consisting of Miles and Anne, and releasing it's debut album on July 28. The album tells the story of two people who run away to London together, go back in time, then meet again in 2015. Sounds interesting - great to release an album that has a story. People have compared Vanilla Swingers with Black Box Recorder, Magnetic Fields and The The, among others. Beautiful music. Check it out here.

Jon Athans Project and Elephone

Now we have posted songs by two interesting and different artists. First there is Jon Athans Project, a one man band (JonAthan Pretz, 26) playing electroacoustic music (similar to Thom Yorke). The music is nice and relaxing - makes you feel good on a rainy day. Jonathan just released his debut album, Hard Holidays, which is free to download here. Second, there's a band called Elephone which is releasing a new album (Canister). The music is described as 'a playful mixture of dark, haunting male vocals and sweet, spunky female vocals'. Listen to two samples below.

 Elephone - Canister
 Elephone - Eddie Izzard
